Purchased the app so I figure I will chime in, the app is having issues with the audio being out of sync. I am seeing very similar behavior with the fellow that posted but got no reply whatsoever. Quicktime Pro doesn't seem to have the issue, so why is Podner (and iSquint for that matter) different? I hear something about a firmware issue but don't see anything here about it from SPLASM. Is there a known issue that someone is working on? Just for grins I will give my machine spec info and the videos info from VLC.

Machine Name: PowerBook G4 15"
Machine Model: PowerBook5,6
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.2)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.67 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.9.1f1
System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.5 (8H14)
Kernel Version: Darwin 8.5.0
Boot Volume: Orange

The file is an AVI that VLC identifies as:

Name: Modern Marvels - Alcan highway.avi

Stream 0:
codec = xvid
type=video
resolution 512x384
framerate=29.96999

Stream 1:
codec = mpga
type=audio
channels = 2
samle rate = 48000 Hz
bitrate=116 kb/s

Duration=0:44:12

Meta data
has_index is_interleaved

Hopefully this will help.

We've asked for a copy of the file via private email and will report our findings as soon as possible.

In our tests Podner's output from the user's source file emerged with proper audio/video sync. A second round of tests on the user's end also resulted in proper audio/video sync. During our dialogue with the user it was revealed that a Mac OS X reinstallation had taken place between their first and second round of tests. The most likely cause for the audio/video synchronization issue in the first round of tests was determined to be either the 3ivx QuickTime component or an older version of the DivX QuickTime component.
