I have been using ABB for a long time and it has been great. But there is one thing I have never been able to figure out, and I'm not sure if it's something I have missed, or if it's just not a feature.

When I create a new project, I give it a title, name the author, select the genre of Audiobook, and add a cover photo. There is an option to click on more, where you can put more information. I like to add the book description here in the Description box, and usually add the book number if its in a series (ie Harry Potter #1) so I can know what order to listen to them in if I can't remember.

But this information is nowhere in the final file. I can't ever see the book description, and the book number is only there if I add it to the actual title.

Am I missing something or is this information only usable in the project file itself, and not the final file?

Thanks! I will continue to use the app because everything else it does is exactly what I need. But sometimes I'm listening to a book that I acquired a long time ago, and it would be nice to see the description so I can refresh my memory about what the book is about

I am only a user of the app, but can confirm that the "description" text gets written to the "DESCRIPTION" and the "PODCASTDESC" tags in the exported file. How that text is visible will depend entirely on what application you use to play back the file. For example, Plex and the Prologue app both show that text; VLC shows it under "Media Information"; but QuickTime Player does not show it. I cannot find a way to get to this text in Apple's "Books" app on Mac or iPhone, either — but I cannot see the equivalent text for purchased audiobooks here, either, so it as an issue with the application, not the ABB files themselves.

What software are you using to listen with?

Thanks for responding. I am using Apple Books and BookPlayer on my iPhone, and Apple Books if I'm using my Mac. Maybe it is the software. I would be interested in finding an app that will display that information, if there is one.
