| Post subject: | audiobook not synching from iTunes |
I have made two audiobooks from cd's. they show up and play as audiobooks in the 'books' section of iTunes 11 on my mac. There is also a playlist under music called Audiobook Builder, with both new books in it. My problem is that when I try to synch an iPod or my iPhone, the new books don't show up as available in the sych control window, either under books or as a playlist under music. My older books from other sources are there. Any thoughts on what's gone wrong? Thanks |

I am having the same issue - used audiobook builder to make two books that imported into iTunes and show up as audiobooks, but they will not sync (or show up in the audiobooks section) of the iphone. Would appreciate a solution, too. aldebaran |

With an iOS Device selected in iTunes, there's both a 'Sync Books' and 'Sync Audiobooks' option available. Since Audiobooks are a subset of Books, you'll want to ensure that the 'Sync Audiobooks' item is checked to get the files created with Audiobook Builder to sync. Supposing your iTunes window is sized rather small, it's possible that the 'Sync Audiobooks' option is currently hidden. So, try scrolling down or increasing the size of the window to access it. With the Playlist, check that, from the Music section under the Device Sync options, 'Audiobook Builder' is set to sync. |
