I'm having trouble with ABB files on my Iphone 3G. Sometimes, the ABB files will work fine, but lately, most of them will crash the Ipod app on the phone. When I open the Ipod app, and select "audio books", it immediately closes. If I remove the problem ABB file via sync, everything functions correctly again.

This does not seem to be consistent with particular file types, source files, names, etc. Until today, it seemed completely random. I could solve the problem by rebuilding and syncing the ABB files. Today, however, none of my ABB created files will work.

At the suggestion of tech support, I updated my Iphone OS to 2.2 and this solved the problem. I had been holding off due to reported problems with the update. Thanks to tech support for the quick response to my email and the helpful suggestion.
