I opened a new account and would like to copy or move my scheduled entries to the new account. Is this possible or do I have to manually recreate the schedule?

Schedules can easily be copied from one Account and pasted into another. Simply head to the Schedule section, select your Schedule(s), go up to click the Edit menu, select the Copy menu option, switch to your new Account, click once inside the register view area, and then head right back to the Edit menu to select the Paste option. Or, you can use keyboard shortcuts, just like with entries: Command + C for Copy and Command + V for Paste.
