Post subject:  Can I track my true balance in CheckBook?

I recently switched from Microsoft Money to Quicken essentials. I am now looking for something else because QE does not allow me to know my true balance. By that I mean that I can import transactions from my bank, but any pending transactions or outstanding checks are unaccounted for so the "balance" isn't the true balance of what is in a given bank account. I want to be able to have my financial software track where I am in my main checking account including all transactions, not just transactions that cleared through my bank. Can I do this with CheckBook?

Thanks for any help!!

CheckBook's default balance value should be your true account balance. If you want to see the balance that only includes things that have cleared the bank (resolved box has been checked), you can click on the balance label at the bottom of CheckBook's window and select 'Resolved Total'. When clicking on the balance label, you will see that there are many other options to choose from.
