| Post subject: | Scheduled Bills |
I just got y first Mac for Christmas and one of the first apps I downloaded was Checkbook. I have started using the app and for the most part it seems pretty straight forward. However I am a little confused on the Scheduled Tasks aspect. For my checking account, I see that there are 4 tabs at the bottom of the screen - Entry, Reconcile, Schedule and Summary. I have already set up bills and deposits with their scheduled times but when I click on the Scheduled tab, there are two current bills (both scheduled for 12/30) that are not showing up on the Entry tab of my Checking account. Shouldn't these bills show up automatically since the date has passed? Or is there something I need to do to transfer it over as an Entry? |

CheckBook won't automatically add Scheduled Entries to your Account. Instead, it should show you the Schedule Reminder when there are pending Scheduled Entries to commit. When you go to the Schedule part of CheckBook look for the Scheduled button at the top of the window. Does it have a red badge with a number on it? If so, that's the number of Scheduled Entries that are waiting to be committed. The Schedule Reminder should show up automatically when you're in an Account that has pending Scheduled Entries. If you have that Account selected and there's a red badge on the Scheduled button but the Schedule Reminder isn't appearing automatically, let us know. I'm glad to hear you picked CheckBook for your new Mac. Thanks for your support & welcome to the Mac! |
