Has anyone else found Checkbook now opening with the oldest entry instead of the last entry entered?
This is a new problem for me. I think after installing Mountain Lion.
Happens with every account in my checkbook.
Can't find any setting that refers to this. And this happens even when I select the last entry entered before shutting down the program.
Am I doing something wrong? Anyone know a fix for this?

Thanks!

I hadn't really noticed that, since I keep CBPro open pretty much all the time, but I did just try it [selecting the most recent entry in each of my accounts and then closing and re-opening the app] and you are right! I'm wondering if it had something to do with my QuickFilter options which had "Unreconciled" ticked? When I cleared the QuickFilter Options that seemed to clear things up.

Don't know if this is a quirk or not?! Anyone else notice this behavior?

Both CheckBook and CheckBook Pro should open up with the same Entry selected as was selected upon closing, whether or not a QuickFilter is active. Testing that out here on the latest version with a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion, this definitely holds true. So, perhaps verify that version 2.3.2 is installed.

To get that update, choose 'Check For Updates...' from the CheckBook (Pro) menu at the top of the screen. Or, for a copy of the application purchased from the Mac App Store, log into the App Store, and check out the Updates section.

Yep, running the latest and greatest! This was an anomaly for me, as it has not been replicated!

@jimwisniewski:

If you continue to see this issue even after verifying that you're running the latest version, it may be that there's an anomaly being created by your unique data set. Should that be the case, it would be helpful to have a look at your data in order to come up with a solution. Would you be willing to send that over to us via email at some point?

If so, choose 'Backup Accounts...' from the File menu at the top of the screen, save the file to someplace accessible, and then attach it to an email to support@splasm.com. Thanks!

I have this problem running Checkbook 2.7.29 on a Mac Air with MacOS Big Sur 11.7.10. How can I get it to open at the most recent entry instead of at the oldest entry?

Clicking once over the latest entry before quitting should be all it takes to have that same entry on display when you next launch the app. Is that definitely not working for you there now? If yes, restarting your Mac before testing again may be a good idea.
