Hi,

Loving the whole program. I have bought a stack but this suits me, at home perfectly. 1 annoying thing- which I suspect is a bank issue ..

1. I am downloading from Australian Bank into .qif
2. importing into checkbook, and the to/from information gives heaps of other info already inserted
eg: 'EFTPOS'/date/time/ then "wallmart" etc, so if you want to group them you have to individually selected them to categorise...

I am trying to import a finacial year into checkbook and thought I should ask if any quick fix, or way to spilt this information. I tried importing csv file- but that wasn't any good

Appreciate any help. Writing this I suppose I should try all formats and see if that helps..

It does indeed sound like some peculiarity in the formatting for the file. Not sure why the bank would include all of that information in that same line...

Unfortunately, there's no way for the application to split up that stuff during the import process, so editing each one manually after the import seems like the only option. Usually, we recommend that another file format be given a shot, but you've already tried the CSV too. Was there another format available from your bank in addition to the QIF and CSV options, like maybe QFX/OFX (which will sometimes be listed as 'Web-Connect')?

Or, if you let us know what went awry with the CSV import, perhaps we could point you towards a workaround for that.
