My accounts file is in iCloud. I am in the middle of a prolonged internet outage caused by a storm. I wanted to make an entry, and suspected that I could not because of the outage, but the application opened normally. I am guessing that the file is actually in two places - my Mac and iCloud, and when my internet comes back on, it will automatically update the iCloud file. Am I correct? This makes sense now, it’s so users can work on their laptops without being connected. |

That's right that you can make changes while offline. An iCloud document is always saved on the local device and changes to it are sent to the cloud automatically, whenever possible. |
