I'm a new Mac user, and I'd like to use Checkbook Pro to handle my bank accounts.
On my PC I used Microsoft Money Plus (version 17.0). I can output my accounts in QIF format, but the format doesn't seem to be as standard as I thought.

When I download a transaction from my bank, the QIF file I get looks like this:

Code:
^
D02/25/2009
T-15.99
PMC-AM GREETINGS*ECARDS        800-711-4474
C*
^

The QIF I get when I export from Money looks like this:

Code:
^
D28-1'04
CX
T-5.00
PPERSONAL BILL PAY SERVICE CHARGE
LPersonal Care
^

Noticing the different date format, it doesn't surprise me that when I import the Microsoft Money-generated QIF file into Checkbook Pro I get bogus dates.

Is there a setting I missed on imported file formats that can correct this problem?

There is a date format that allows you to change up how the date is layed out in the import options just after you open your qif. You can make changes and progress to the next step to see if those dates now make sense in the preview of the import. If they still look wrong, hit the back button and further adjust the format until it looks right to you. Let us know if that works for you.

Worked like a charm. Thanks very much ... next time I'll do a little more RTFM.
