| Post subject: | Splits not Importing correctly |
Hi, I am unable to get splits to import correctly from Quicken 2008. Here is an example split entry created when I export my Quicken file. ^ D4/10/ 9 T-1,446.05 PAmerican Express LGroceries SGroceries $-34.27 SAuto ERegistration Prius and Od $-83.50 S $1,446.05 SRecreation:Noah ESummer Camp Football $-805.94 SWine $-215.84 SUtilities EDirect TV $-306.50 S $-1,446.05 ^ When this entry comes over to CheckBook I get no splits rather I get the total of the transaction into one category - Groceries. This is the case for all of the split transaction I bring over. I have about 2,000 transaction that I need to import and need to have the splits come over correctly. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks, Mike |

Mike, Can you send us one of these QIFs that is not importing properly for you? If you could email it to support@splasm.com along with a short description of your issue that would help us in finding out what the problem is. Thanks for your help, Mike! |

Hi Randy, Can you copy/paste the one in the post to a text file to do a test with? I tried and it worked. Same problem occurred. That one record is a copy from the larger file. I would rather not send the entire QIF it is over 2000 records and is all my personal financial data for the last few years. I will see if I can reduce the size of the export to QIF but limiting the date range. If I can I will email it to you. Mike |

Hi, I have exactly the same problem, but with a QIF file produced by Microsoft Money. I've checked the QIF file and it does contain the split transaction details, so I'm guessing that the problem must be with the Import code? Mark. |

We did fix this earlier in an internal alpha and made it available to Mike. Mark, I also sent you a private message with a download link. If anyone else is having this issue, please feel free to email us at support@splasm.com and we will give you a download link to the alpha. |
