Is there a way to make the scheduled transactions non repeating by default? |

In dealing with scheduled transactions that don't repeat, there's really no need to enter them as Scheduled Entries from the Schedule section. Just entering in the Scheduled transactions as regular Entries with future dates will add the items to the register but with a faded look to them. While going this route will actually add the items to the Account here-and-now and affect your Balance, there's a way to both show only the current Balance while also hiding the future Entries. For that, click on the magnifying glass icon in the white Search field at the top of the window and choose 'Through Today' from the drop-down list of options—this'll filter out just the currently posted Entries. Next, to show the Balance for the present, click on the word 'Balance' next to the Balance shown at the bottom of the window and change it to 'Today's Total'. |
