The only update would be that the iOS version is poised to be our primary focus now, with CheckBook 3 for the Mac out and all. We needed to get this new version out before shifting focus to the mobile side of things, so as to lay some of the groundwork for syncing with the iOS app. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Is this really real this time? I know we've all seen this movie before... and just want to temper my anticipation...

Does that mean only v3 will sync with future iOS app?

It does. All existing users are eligible for a pretty sweet discount on a version 3 upgrade, though!

Any timeframe as to when it would be available for iPad and/or iPhone?

We’re still quite a ways out from discussing a possible release timeframe for our forthcoming iPad/iPhone version, but we should have something to share in that regard before the year is out.

Thank you for pursuing this. I’ve hoped for this capability since the iPhone 4. It will be great to have available for the iPad, and iPhone. Congrats on v.3. It’s great!

Almost 20 years of empty promises.

C’mon guys. I don’t want to have to upgrade my iMac.

Five months later, still just vaporware... maybe time to just come clean. Is it really coming or just toying with us?

Can we get an update? (Asking for a friend.)

The inability to fix the automatic login worries me. phpBB login seems to be no problem for any other group. Do Splasm really have the coding ability to integrate mobile and web accounting?

Our focus lately has been on finalizing the CheckBook (Pro) 3.1 update. Once that's out the door, we'll be able to tackle other to-dos on our list, like website updates and any other development projects.

I'm trying to tell my inner cynic to be quiet, but ...

Wed Jul 30, 2008
"We are currently working on a version of CheckBook for the iPhone and iPod Touch. There are couple issues that have to be sorted before the mobile version of CheckBook will be functioning the way we need it to be"

Fri Feb 07, 2025
“The iOS version is poised to be our primary focus now, with CheckBook 3 for the Mac out and all."

Cynicism is to be expected, considering the long and winding road we've all been on. While I wasn't with the company in 2008, I do know the original prototype likely being referenced in that post had to be scrapped due to the many changes Apple made to the platform. So, Keith has essentially had to start over from scratch. Again, the 3.1 update is our top priority now, but coding focus will shift back to the mobile version when that's done. Onward and upward!
