Just ran a demo, purchased and started using CheckBook Pro today. I am surprised that I haven't found a topic on this forum related to my following comment.

I enjoy CB PRo's simplicity, but would like to see an option that would allow the user to select black, or any other color, for the columns of information associated with a DEBIT, except for the amount of the debit and a negative balance for which red is appropriate and useful.

Seeing all that red on the ledger for routine debits to your account is neither helpful nor enjoyable.

There is an option, go to the preferences under Checkbook Pro and Viola!

Thanks very much for the reply, but, unless I'm missing something, Preferences doesn't solve the issue. It allows you to change the color of debits and deposits, but that changes the color of every column in that record. Since most of the records are withdrawals of one sort or another, your register essentially takes on the color you selected for debits.

I would like to see the amount of a debit in red, and the running total in red if you go below a zero balance.
